Hello folks, I want to create a 5/16 thread thats 3/4 of an inch long down a hole I made in my shape (see attached picture)
My questions are: How would I create such a thread? What autodesk program would be able to import my .dwg file and is there a tutorial on how to do it?
Thank you kindly in advance!
Or if someone would be able to do it for me that would be absolutely amazing, I have a picture and the .dwg file attached via a link (file size to large to upload here).
I'm also looking to make thredded/tapped holes. Any help would be great.
That file doesn't look like it should be too large.
Right click on the file and select Send to Compressed (zipped) Folder.
Is the resulting *.zip file still too large to attach here (I don't go to third party sites).
Why do you need the thread modeled? Most people use a simplified cosmetic representation.
It is possible to model, but you would need AutoCAD or Inventor to model the helical geometry.
Most any CAD program would be able to open the resulting geometry.
