Intersecting Surface - Best Practice

I brought a part in fom Inventor.  When I do a Validate, I have an intersecting surface. Normally I would just delete the intersecting surface and then patch it back in.  Here, if I just delete the intersecting surface, I will loose part of the profile of the part becaused it is on an edge.

What is the best/easiest way to take care of this in Fusion?

Thanks

Have you tried to trim the intersecting surfaces?
