Hi.
I am just trying out inventor fusion for mac and made two parts of a project in two separate files (just learning and didn't know how best to approach each at the beginning).
Now that I have them where I want them (sorta) is there anyway to merge them together so I can look at the final assembly in one file? I would like to look at everything together for a final review before heading out to the 3D printer and would rather not have to redo one of the pars from scratch just to get it all into one file. Of course, if fthat is one of the "prices" for the free software, ti is still a good deal. Cheers.
In this version, it doesn't support insert/place *.f3d files, will improve it in future.
You can complete your work by following work around:
1.Export one of your files into *.sat or *.stp file;
2.Open another *.f3d file your created before;
3.Use "Place" command, then select the file you exported in step1;
4.Then you can make these files in one file;
5.Try the "Joint" command to assemble the two parts.
Hope this can resolve your problem.
Regards,
