I have had this problem for a long time, no matter what printer I use, everything prints fine, dimensions, views, symbols etc EXCEPT welding symbols that look like they are printed with a very very thin line resolution. When I display line thicknesses on the dwg. file they look even better (thicker) than the dimension lines.
Which version of Inventor did you install? I cannot reproduce your issue. All of line weight would be same because all kinds of symbol using layer "Symbol" in default.
