ViewCube Animated Transitions Not Working

My company recently upgraded to Inventor 2022 from 2018. An issue I've run into is that, regardless of whether the box is checked or not, the ViewCube no longer plays animations when clicking on it. It just snaps to the new orientation, which can be a little disorienting. Is this a bug or am I missing something?

There's an option you need to toogle to fix that (right-click the cube) :

Thanks for the suggestion! I've tried that and it isn't changing anything. Even when I close and reopen the program, whether I've checked the box or not (or toggled it), it still just snaps to the view.

That's very strange indeed!

Maybe Application Options -> Hardware is set to Software Graphics?

Did you install the software with UAC at a minimum level ad disable the antivirus?

Have you all updates instaled?

Hi

Can you record the behavior of the program?

My "Software graphics" setting is not checked.

I'm not sure what your first question means. My IT department installed the software, so I'm not sure if there was something they missed there.

We just recently updated the software so I would imagine we installed all of the latest updates. How would I check this?

What's the best way for me to do this?

Check Settings -> Display -> View transition time (seconds)

It was set at 0 seconds, but changing it to higher values hasn't reenabled the view transitions. That was a good suggestion, though!
Message 12 of 13

0 seconds means no transitions (jump), higher values are transition animations.

Though this hadn't changed anything initially, it now works! Inventor must have just needed a bit of time to actually apply the change. All seems to be working well now, thanks for the help!
