Threading in a weldment

Is threading in a weldment available in Inventor 2017? If not, is it on the radar to be added anytime soon? This is something I need to do at least once every week.

Hi Bruce,

Thanks for reporting. The Thread isn't available in weldment in R2017 now.

This has been requested in ideastation, could you add Kudo in it, if more Kudo collected, it could be considered in the future plan.

Hi BCrosby,

I think your waiting for an external thread feature in weldments?

This is on our list but unfortunately not available in 2017.

Yes, I often weld round shafts into other parts. After the weldment is
complete, I will set the part up in a machine and add a thread to a
particular diameter.

I can't Kudos that post because it is my original post. Good to see you pointing people to it though! I am anxious to see it added in the Inventor product so I don't have to keep working around it.
