Roll Back 2020.1

Any way to uninstall the latest update without having to uninstall inventor and start over?

The version is a fail.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Not Inventor.  You will have to do a clean uninstall of Inventor and then reinstall.

What exactly is failing in this version?  Can you post a screen shot of the error you are seeing or describe exactly what is happening?

Intel i7-6700 @ 3.41ghz
nVidia GTS 250 - 1 GB

Thanks.

There is no error.  It just vanishes periodically after saving a document.

There are two events in event viewer but the temp files that it references do not exist.

@chrisw01a

Usually this points to an out-dated graphics card driver.   Have you updated yours for 2020?  Or are you saying you never had this issue before 2020.1?

Have you gone into Windows Control Panel and removed it

We didn't have the issue before the update but I can sure try a new driver.

And do I did not think to look at control panel.

Will check it out.  Thank you!

Look at the link I gave you in my first posting about a clean uninstall.

Or, before doing the uninstall, try the Inventor reset tool.

I'm not sure why the usual method to uninstall an update wouldn't work in this case.  The below image is from Windows 7 Control Panel > Programs and Features > Installed Updates.

Hi Chris,

Do you mind elaborating the issues in 2020.1 causing you to uninstall it completely? Could you point me to the threads?

Many thanks!

Usually happens after saving.
