Resizing a pan & keeping patterned holes central

Hi,

Could somebody please point me in the right direction with this no doubt very simple issue.
Just for the record I've had no tuition except youtube videos & have no previous cad experience!

Using Inventor 2016 I'm trying to make a basic door profile lets say 2000x850mm which I'd then like to be able to adjust sizes quickly to suit.
Along the height of the pan is a series of holes formed from the center point using a rectangular pattern.

My problem is when I resize the pan it only does so from 1 side, leaving all the holes offset?
The main pan is in one sketch & the holes are in another.
I've tried using so many different methods I've finally given up.

Please see the pictures to see exactly what I mean

Any help greatly appreciated.

Hi, As requested the .ipt file for my offending part!

Can I just say since this drawing I've been trying so many different constraints.

Until I understand this issue I can't make anything adaptive.

Thanks for your help.

Do not use sketch patterns - use Feature Patterns for the holes.

and

your sketches are not fully defined anyhow?

You should probably install Service Packs 1 and 2 as well.

Ok, So the feature pattern would be in the sheet metal tab?
Could you be a little clearer on how to fully define the sketch.
Looking forward to trying these changes at work tomorrow.
Cheers

Thanks guys for the pointers.

I'll have a good read over the weekend when not so tired.

Cheers
