Inventor 2023 new marking function

Can this layer (IV_MARK_SURFACE) of marking be brought into the drawing(IDW) and from there on DWG?

Hi!

It's possible to do that when you export the Flat Pattern:

In inventor, exporting the Flat Pattern:

After in Autocad:

This works for you?

Ok, but it is not possible to get the layer (IV_MARK_SURFACE) in the drawing (IDW)?

I believe is not possible.

The geometry you see in the 2D views is a kind of a "Block" geometry and can't be separated into different layers.

This works like this to maintain associativity with the 3D model, to guarantee that the 2D geometry is loyal to the 3D model.

If you have unconsumed sketches (ex: before using the Mark tool), you can have them in a different layer.

Hi! Indeed, it is not supported yet. The Marking geometry is like any model geometry, default to Visible layer in the drawing. We are aware of the request but we don't have a good solution yet.

Many thanks!
