Hi @baliasM74U3,

Previously, when I had access to a laser cutter I would export the image as a dxf or dwg from an image editor. Alternatively, you could just trace the geometry as a sketch and create as a drawing.

The actual engraving/etching setup would then normally be done in your laser cutter's software, to which you should then be able to import said drawing file and set the path as an engrave feature rather than cut then finally send to your laser cutter.

What laser cutter are you using?

Thanks, Leo

I don't have the details of the laser cutter we use.

Normally, I get letters etched using insert text option.

Like that, I am looking for an option to insert that shape into a flat surface that will be exported as dxf.

In other words, I need this arrow in dxf.

@baliasM74U3

Draw the rotation symbol in a sketch of the part or sheet metal. Make it a sketch block and save it in the template if you wish for future use. Highlight the flat face and right click and export face choose dxf.

If I need this to be part of the flatpattern, I use the EMBOSS command @ .001 depth.

That way you don't compromise the sheetmetal thickness, and also you have a laser etching path in the text profiles.
