Hello,

I am having problem to display the thread in a bolt,or in a hole as a continuous thin line and not as helix.I am using Inventor Pro 2015,Asus, windows 8.1.

Attached is how it is supposed to look. How can I do that?

Neither the image you attached earlier or the image in the url you supplied are technically correct.

Now back to your parts and your drawing.

Where did you get the part?  Did you model it?  Did you model real threads?

Use the (cosmetic) Thread tool for the external thread and the Tappeded type Hole feature for the hole.

This will give you correct Simplified Representation threads on the drawing.

This should have been covered by your instructor.

Attach your ipt files here if you can't figure it out.

I have tried what you suggested but it didn't work.I am new at this and I don't have much of a help from my instructor. The thread is modeled by the Thread Modeller Tool and the bolt is modeled by the Content Library. All I have managed is to make ''invisible'' the coil in the crank arm in the drawing.

I have attached the parts and the drawing in case you can find something that I can't.Thanks anyway!

No, you didn't.  I would never ever suggest using the "Thread Modeller Tool".

I recommend that you transfer to a school with an instructor who is a certified machinist and certified Inventor Professional.

Where did I say or show any pictures indicating you should use the "Thread Modeller Tool"?  That tool is garbage.

Use the tools within Inventor - not flawed add-ins.

In the bolt drag the red End of Part marker to just below Chamfer 2 and then right mouse button delete everything below the red EOP.

In the Connecting rod your Ø12mm holes are not the correct size for M12 threads.  If you use the Inventor tapped hole feature - Inventor will automatically create the correct size holes.
