Bolted Connection Component Generator resets all my previous modifications

Hi,

How to stop Bolted Connection Component Generator to reset all my previous modification when I open the dialog again? It's extremely disturbing.

Symptomes:

1. I create some connection and modify one or more of its elements and click OK.
2. After while I figure out that I need change something else in the connection - so I open dialog again, change particular thing, click OK and all modification made in step 1 are reset to default values.

Here is GIF - I had modified hole under screw head - it's fully sunk. Then I only open the dialog and press OK - Bolt head is above the surface.

I made a some tests but I could not find any general issue with the workflow you described. But from the GIF I was not able to clearly see all the settings that you used. Could you provide the following information so that I can try to reproduce the issue on my system?

• What Inventor version do you use? What Inventor Updates are installed?
• Do you have this issue only with one particular connection or with all types of connections?
• Could you provide a sample assembly with the connection in question?

finally I am able to reproduce your issue. Unfortunately I do not have any workaround for now.

Ticket INVGEN-13208 was open to track it down.

Hi @j.pavlicek,

as a workaround you can set the hole diameter to 'Custom' type. Then all customization would persist.
