Save / copy adopted Ilogic Assembly in Member files folder

Hello

the issue we have is that the adopted ILogic assembly will not be copied to the member files folder during rendering and also the associated parts will not be saved in the member files folder. So during de-intentify process we now have a IPJ File created by ETO which makes sure the project work space is set properly.  We need only the IAM to be saved with the relative path to all the parts including the Ilogic assembly and its parts.

So how can we tell ETO to save / copy the assembly and its parts to the member files folder to be independent from the IPJ and the workspace ?

Thank you / Regards

Timo

Ps:

'AssemblyFileDirectory = iv_ProjectWorkspace() + "\Member Files"

did not work - don't know why.

Hi Timo,

The iviLogicAssembly is behaving differently in compare to IvAssembly. We treat the iviLogicAssembly as a black box, which is controllable via Inventor parameters.

As Intent does not have any knowledge about the assembly internals (iLogic rules, for example), we operate on assembly file. No "copy assembly" operation is provided. Depending on assembly complexity and its components reuse, you may consider the different copy scenarios.

"Treat as iLogic assembly" adoption creates the absolute path Parameter. You may wish to adjust the Rule to be relative to the workspace (iv_ProjectWorkspace()) or to the TLA path (ModelLocation()). Please look into call stack to find the problem.

Thank you,

Thank you Alex,

This is really bad news today. How should we ever get the ETO development with I logic assemblies in vault if the facts you tell are true.

Are we only able to handle this issue with the things I find in "call stack" ? --> this means we need to program a special function outside

from ETO ?

so far I am speechless 😞

Thank you / Regards

Timo
