new ETO user

HI All,

My company is considering investing into ETO, initially for internal use than making the configurator available to our customers online.

I was wondering if there is anyone here that gone through this in the UK or in Europe.

Do you use the web based ETO Server option or ETO Series?

Did you need Autodesk Consulting or your vendor helped in the development or do you know a company specialised in the development of ETO automation?

Any comment and lesson learned would be much appreciated.

As an Autodesk employee, I can't answer all your questions, but I would say that you need to have a solid appilcation running in ETO series before adding the server issues.  Debugging issues in a client-server architecture is inherently more difficult than otherwise.

We have been developing with the ETO tools for about 10 yrs.  Worked with the Web based tools for about 5 yrs of that, so have worked a variety of applications both ways.

Feel free to reach out to me if you would like to discuss further.  We are in the US, but have worked in Eruope and Canada and in discussions with some in Brazil.  So it is workable if we are a fit for each other.
