Intent doesn't generate the drawing!!!

When I try to generate the drawing from assembly through boolean rule, sometimes Intent doesn't responding and I see just empty sheet.

Does anyone have the same problem?

Too many vaiables to know what is wrong here. What version of Intent? What does your code look like?

I'm using v5.1. Sometimes Intent generates the drawings without any problems. I think it doesn't depend on code.

There was an issue with regenerating a drawing after it already exists on disk. It's fixed in the latest, but I don't remember when it was fixed. The workaround for the older issue is to delete the drawing file on disk before regenerating it. Can you try that and see if it works, next time your drawing fails?

If that doesn't work, then I'll need an example case with steps to reproduce it here.

Step by step:

1. Open Inventor.

2. Open the assembly.

3. Generate the drawings.

OK.

4. Close the drawings.

5. Close the assembly (Inventor stay opened).

6. Delete the drawings from local drive.

7. Open the assembly.

8. Generate the drawings.

INVENTOR IS NOT RESPONDING.

9. Close Inventor through Task Manager.

10. Delete the drawings from local drive.

11. Open the assembly.

12. Generate the drawings.

OK.

For correct generating the drawings I need to close Inventor, delete all drawings from local drive and repeat steps 1 - 3 as stated above. After that I can generate the drawing without any issues.

It's not too comfortable.

It won't occur in my side, is it possible to provide the data you use for our deep investigation?

Thanks,

Amanda
