Derived parts

Hello,

I have tried adopting a derived part and inserting it as a child in my eto design.

when i try to update my design i get the following error: Unable to update parameters and/or properties for file: ...

I havent set any parameters on the derived child, but eventually i want to.

So, is it possible in ETO to use adopted derived parts? Is it possible to update parameters (from the base part) on derived parts?

Hi Henrik

We support the adoption of the derived parts, and we can control the parameters of the referenced Inventor part.

Could you please report the problem to ADN (please include the simple model), and we will have a look at it asap.

Hi,

As i tried to reproduce the error, it actually worked to insert the derived part,

but, i am unable to actually change the parameters of the derived part (the parameters i want to set are derived from the basepart)

setting the parameter value in the child block like below does not seem to change anything:

Child dorkasse As :Kasse_A60_URZ_venstre
b_kasse = 1200
End Child

is this the correct way to set parameters of derived parts?
