Vb.net issue.

I have a vb.net program that looks at what is open in Inventor ("Top Level".iam) and begins gathering information (*.ipt) on qty and costs. If it encounters another First Level.iam file, it opens it, gathers the qty and costs of parts, closes it and moves on. Everything seems fine. However if there are two of the same instances of and identical *iam file under the Top Level.iam it crashes Inventor. When the program is finished with the First Level.iam it closes it without saving it. Is there another line of code I am missing to make Inventor, perhaps, release the first instance?

Thanks

Wayne

Hi,

The workflow looks fine to me. This will require a reproducible sample code for diagnosis. Could you isolate and provide a demo?
