Sum parameter of all parts and assemblies inside one main assembly

In addiction of this topic: http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/Inventor-General/Mass-properties-recalculated-when-use-feature-in-the-... I would like to know if is it possible, to sum the values of one specific parameter in each item of one IAM (parts, sub assemblies, any item from content, virtual componentes) and if doesnt have this parameter, use other. In this case, I wanna sum all the gross weight that I've created in each part/sub assembly/virtual, and in the content that doesnt exists this parameter, it would get the real mass of it.

I tried get help from some topics here, like this one e.g.:

but I still didnt find a way to get this code and check every single item to loop and sum the parameter.  How could I do that ? I searched in the help but I just find how to access parts, but I couldnt go further alone.
