Sketch orientation on part face

Hi, Im trying to create sketch onto sheet metal face for punch centers.

I create sketch using AddWithOrientation. I pick face, direction (edge) and orgin (vertex) as shown in the picture.

X and Y are values from user form.

Now the problem. In some cases it seems that selected "Direction" edge defines X axis but not the direction. As a result the point on the sketch will be placed outside the face of part. Changing NaturalAxisDirection parameter for those cases fixes problem. But is there a way to get it right at the first time so I wouldnt have to start changing parameters manually if no punch hole appear?

Or maybe there is easier way to accomplish this. Couldn't I just pick two edges and give distance from them (as for linear hole placement).. ?
