Redefine Derived Component

I was wondering if it is possible to redefine the Derived Component of a
part, using VB(A).

Example:
I have a Skeletonpart with parameters and sketches called
"SkeletonPart.ipt".
I have "PartA" which has derived "SkeletonPart.ipt" for parameters/sketches.
I do a Save-Copy-As of the "SkeletonPart.ipt" to "NewSkeletonPart.ipt"
Now, I want "PartA" to look for the "NewSkeletonPart.ipt", instead of
"SkeletonPart.ipt"

(If I manualy rename "SkeletonPart.ipt" to "SkeletonPartXXX.ipt" and open
"PartA" --> Inventor can't find the skeletonpart.
I than select the "NewSkeletonPart.ipt". Can this be automated?)

Has anyone ever tried doing this before with VB?
