Maybe the market for a "VBA for Inventor" book is just too small. Just because a lot of people use Inventor doesn't mean a lot of people are going to program it.

...and the API reference is good enough that if you know how to program, you will be able to program for Inventor. (although you may have to still ask questions on a NG or two...)
