Inserting item (baloon) no to text

Hello,

Is there a possibility to insert an items' no (by selecting from a list) to text?

There are many times that we need to give instructions in notes (using text) and we need to refer to an item. For ex. " inset item X to hole. add glue. do something with item Y....etc" But if for any reason the item numbering sequence change, the text remains without change and needs to be edited. Is it possible make some automation in this process? Maybe by inserting a field with the item no (by selecting) which is refresheble?

Hi,

You could create custom iProperties and some code, e.g. in iLogic, that would keep those up to date.

They could be named the same as the Part Number, and based on that their value would be the Item Number.
