How to get a total length of ipart in an assembly?

Hi,

I have created an ipart Tube for 5 different configuration (Tube length get varies) by using ipart table concept.

In assembly, i have placed that ipart Tube of 2 different configuration by using that table concept. Hence, I want to take a length of the same in assembly itself.

I have written a rule for taking length of tube in ipart itself. later, i exported that parameter. Now i got same length of tube for 2 different configuration in assembly.

How to take a length of that ipart for that 2 different tube in assembly by using iRule?...

Kindly anyone give solution for above said issue.

The trick with iParts is that you have to manually change the name of the ocurrences of the iParts in the assembly, otherwise they will change if you change the row in the part.

Once you have done that you can refer to them and grab their parameters easily.

I made an exaple with a simple iParts with two different lengths
