I would like to export a solid assembly (or derived part of the assembly) as a Spatial Array for use in Matlab. Only a simplistic solid definition is needed such that each element of the array is either 1 or 0.
Does anyone know how I can achieve this and ideally how I can choose the resolution of the array?
Thanks.
I can't speak for everyone else reading and responding to posts here, but for me this isn't very straightforward because I know nothing about MatLab and how it would represent a solid as a spatial array. Good luck on finding the answer.
For mathlab or mathematica?????
you mean simplistic definition with only 0 or 1.... But you want a definition by face/Edge or vertex??? have you a specific context????
The reason for wanting a spatial array is to investigate the variation of the centre of bouyancy of a floating object, floating in different orientations with different net buoyancies. To do this I thought of creating a spatial array with a suitable resolution and then using Matlab to manipulate the array (rotate and slice at the water line) in all the orientations that I need.
Perhaps someone knows another way to do this?...
Thanks
