Create Exploded view (on one plane)

Say I wanted to create this kind of view:

In an Inventor assembly, how would I go about this using iLogic? Does anyone know of any existing code that would allow me to accomplish this?

If not, where would be a good starting point?

Hi Alex,

In order to achieve this result, you will need to know how to work with the API related to assemblies. How to create transformation matrices to position your occurrences would be the key starting point.

Work your way through the assembly-related topics from the API Help Files:

You can take a look at the Inventor API Training Material (Modules 6 & 14 deal with assemblies).
