Clearance.xls unpredictable rounding?

Hello,

I am adding custom fasteners to Clearance.xls.

Neither head dimensions nor shaft diameters consistently evaluate to exactly what is placed in the file.

For example (Inventor version 2012):

1) Within clearance.xls, in a metric worksheet (M in A1), define a custom fastener with head type 1 and head diameter of 2.0mm.

2) Place a counterbore hole feature using this fastener type on a part of either inch or metric standard template.

3) Create a drawing of the part.  Add a dimension callout on the counterbore feature.  In inches it will be 0.079" in metric it will be 2.0066mm.  This is repeatable though obviously incorrect.

4) Repeat the same process, but change head diameter to 4.0mm.  Now the result is 3.9878mm or 0.157". Even worse.

Note that "Linear Dim Display Precision" in Document Settings can be set to maximum (5 places) with no change to the result.

Similar problems occur using inch standard callouts that run past 3 places, but that's for another thread.

Any thoughts?

Sincerely,

Jason
