Auto Re-attach Orphaned Annotations Using iLogic

Hi

 

I am looking for how to use iLogic to Auto Re-attach Orphaned Dimension.

 

Please can somebody help me.

Best way I found was to use attributes to recreate the dimensions; This works if you know what dims will break.  Each dim would have an attribute so if it was orphaned you can read the attribute and run a rule to delete it and recreate it as needed.

I have used a diffrent approach to fix that problem with our drawings/ configured models.  We have added work geometry (planes, axis & points) to our models then include them in the drawing and dimension between them. By controlling the location of the work geometry in the model the dimensions will follow even if the physical geometry is chaning around them.  Not sure if this will work in your particular situation, but has worked well for us.
