Alternative materials

Hi

Anyone know where to find/import alternative materialstyles

egg. AISI 301? EN 1,4310?

Working whit sheet metal parts an missing a lot of materials.

I know how change the existing materials, but would rather import them from the web.

Regards

Rasmus

Hi,

I am not much clear what you wanted to do. What I know is: you can add a new material by Materials.Add and the material can set the RenderStyle which could configure some parameters from the params of the source material.

Sorry, I am not still not clear what you meant by "Import Material".

In UI, you can create material, open existing library. Did you meant the equivalent ability of API?

Yes. The same as API. An also if some metalsupplyers can supply the data for import. Venlig hilsen/ Best Regard Rasmus Danielsen AH Metal Solutions A/S

I guess its the same what I'm looking for, some pre defined materials with the right properties values of it standard, like AISI 304, ASTM A-36, ANSI XX, etc....

here I didnt find any site with files to import, so I had to create one by one, at least the more usuals here...

Hi,

What I can see is: you have to add the materials youself with the current API. I did not see a way to import a material. Sorry.
