X-Refs not staying loaded in Autocad 2014

Whenever I attach X-Refs to a plan set, some of the attachements become invalid so they are not loaded. It does not happen to all of the attachments, but only some.  It does not matter if they are pdfs or jpegs. I use relative path and we use dropbox for file storage, but path of attachments always remains the same. I would appreciate any help on this matter.

dropbox access is timing out so AutoCAD loses the connection: you need to figure out how to stop that. Contact the folks at Dropbox and discuss your options.
