Hi
We are just looking at our insurances and dont know what happens with our licenses if our computers were stolen.
Do we need to insure them or does Autodesk just cancel the license and issue new one?
Thanks
Steve
Hi Steve,
We recommend that you insure your license, as Autodesk will not issue a new license in case it gets stolen. In such an event, you would need to notify your insurance company and purchase a new license. Autodesk would inactivate the original serial number in order to prevent the use by a third party.
For further details, please refer to the End User License Agreement.
Regards
If Autodesk can disable the stolen license why do they charge again for a full license? Why cant they just issue a new license for a nominal fee once the stolen one has been disabled?
