Walking Dead ADLM message

Today I had a user several users get booted off the ADLM license server.
There were sufficient licenses, and these were happening at different times
during the day. They get the standard 4 minutes then 2 minute warning from
the server. The ADLM log reports the following type of entry for these
events:

00-Jan-21 10:59:33: radic@cad-radic (13): Walking dead, pid=16775734 (13/0).

What does "Walking dead" indicate??? What is the "pid" number?

Mark,
Walking Dead = still running for now but lost their license.
Possible causes:
Network congestion causing delayed or lost packets.

Date or time manipulation on the AdLM server or AutoCAD workstation

A wise guy who has got hold of AdLM Control and is going wild with the BURY
button. (don't laugh at or dismiss this possibility, I've seen it)

Unstable network properties on the AdLM server, but this usually clobbers
everyone. Same goes for multiple NICs or RAS on the AdLM server (either will
cause a failure sooner or later)

A slow or intermittent hub or router. This happened to me at a seminar once.
It drove me nuts until I noticed that all workstations were feed from the same
hub, I had the hub replaced, bingo.

You may want to set your AdLM log verbosity to 9, this will record every packet
in and out of your AdLM server. Be sure to increase the maximum log file space
when you do this because the log can get pretty large at this level of detail.
