Using 2011 Inventory with Updated 2012 License File

One of our schools has recently updated their licensing with the purchase of Inventor Pro 2012.  The school would like tofinish out the year on the currently installed 2011 software.  However the license was updated through AutoCAD to 2012.  Is it possible to utilize the 2011 software until we can upgrade the software?

Depends on your licensing.  My understanding is that the educational network licensing expires after a term of about 13 months, give or take.  You might be able to ask for an extension of your 2011 licenses as part of the 2012 seats.  I am not fully certain if there is a Subscription alternative to educational licensing.  You may need to speak with Autodesk directly about it.
