Does anyone have any experience with Autodesk products and FDCC*? I just ran across a problem during testing. When ADT 2006 starts for the first time as a new user on a PC, it needs to create the support directory structure and initial profiles for the user. The profile creations are failing under FDCC, without any error message.
It turns out that this is because ADT is calling regedit.exe to load the profile, rather than processing the operation internally. Since the FDCC settings prevent users from running regedit.exe, ADT fails to create the profiles.
*(FDCC http://nvd.nist.gov/fdcc/ is the Federal Desktop Core Configuration, a collection of security settings mandated for all Windows desktop PCs used by all US federal agencies.)
