Acad2002. This server is an P2-233 128m ram w/NT 4(latest updates).
We currently use the server for license information only. All
information pertaining to function is located locally.

Acad without interrupting the end user? or What is
the best way to update/upgrade to Acad2002?
Short answer... No. You can't run a2k and a2k2 on the same machine at
the same time so there will be some interruption. See
http://support.autodesk.com/enu/knowledgebase/html/99795.htm
I'd recommend that you completely uninstall a2k. Re-boot and install
a2k2 from the network deployment image.
As far as licensing everything is fine. The licensing technology for
a2k2 has changed completely and you'll just install the new adlm,
authorize it and it should issue licenses. The technology isn't
neccessarily "compatible" with the elan adlm, but the two technologies
know nothing about one another and will work on the same machine without
any problems.

the server?
I've never tried it. You might try it on a test station and see what
happens, but see my recommendation on 1.

laptops when they are offsite. Is this possible? Within
the confines of Acad?
Currently No. This is a major wishlist item. Currently we use "stand
alone" copies of autocad for our laptop users (the sad part is that it's
the laptop users that use autocad the least, and the ones that I can get
the most benifit of having network licenses on).
