Uninstall Problems w/ACAD LT 2005

Just bought ACAD LT 2012. Need to uninstall the ACAD LT 2005 program currently on my computer before I load the 2012 version. Using the Windows XP "ADD OR REMOVE PROGRAMS" in the Control Panel, I keep getting a "Fatal Error" message and the uninstall stops. Any suggestions?

Since you're on XP, consider using the Microsoft Installer Clean Up Utility. For more information on this program, please my forum post here:

Thanks for the advice. I'll look into the Microsoft utility. However, good news! I was able to install the new AutoCAD LT 2012 program with no problems after deleting several files/folders per Autodesk web instructions. I guess it's true; when all else fails, read the instructions!
