Uninstall 2013 Civil 3d

Help I have about 40 seats of 2013 Civil 3d to uninstall so I can install 2015 Civil 3d. How can I automate the uninstall process silently using a bat file? I have the install process already set but I can not figure out the uninstall. Please help. Thanks Al

This is not easy in 2013 products.  I would start with this...

Starting in 2014, there is a SCCM folder after you create a deployment, there are flags there to easily setup a command line install.

I used ORCA to find my GUID for 2013 C3D.

I created a bat file with the following in it.

"MsiExec.exe /X{33F54798-140F-447E-B199-7FFAD4B3089D} /qn"

It just showed a dos window for a millasecond and nothing happend. According to everything I read, this should have worked. The software is still there and runs correctly. I am at a loss right now.

I haven't tried this personally but it could be worth a shot! Would be interested on David's views of this workflow.

As you will see from the following link... https://c3dpeanuts.wordpress.com/2012/03/31/autodesk-quick-uninstall-tool/ The user was able to use a tool provided by Autodesk, change the GUID's and uninstall products that the tool wasn't built to uninstall.

Here is a link to the tool... http://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-to-...

Have you tried the following command line? msiexec.exe /x {enter GUID here} /qn

Good luck!

Thanks for your help. Unfortunately this did not seem to work either. The website says the xml file I need to edit is located in a directory I do not have. I do not know where look. I did try the msiexec.exe command line you suggested but this did not work either.

Any other suggestions?

Al
