Unable to Obtain a License from VM License Server

License manager is installed on a vitrual server, license file is installed, and LMTOOLS reports all licenses are available and 0 in use. Seems ok on that side. The VM has been assigned a static address.

Workstations, however, will not pull a license from that server, but they will pull one from one of the redundant servers in other cities. I have ensured that the servers are search in the proper order.

Any ideas?

Ping the Server by name from the workstation and ensure that you are getting the right IP back from DNS/WINS. You also want to make sure that the ports 2080 and 27000-27009 are open in the firewall of your Server as well. If it is pulling from a redundant source, it's likely because it cannot find that server for some reason or another.

Thanks Travis. The port exceptions did the trick.
