Normally you can only get AutoCAD to upgrade from a few years earlier. Last Year, there was a special package available for upgrading from 2007 to 2012. We bought it about two months ago but haven't had success with the loading yet. Will be spending another coule of hours trying this afternoon.

Just for the feedback. After several failed attempts by myself and an IT professional, We gave up and bought a new computer and started from scratch.

Hi. I'm facing the same 'Error 2738' installation problem and have tried all the suggestions mentioned in this thread but sadly to no avail.

I'm just wondering if you ever managed a work around on this problem and finally able to install the program.

Your response is much appreciated. Thanks.

Cheers.
