Hi ohad111,

Welcome to Autodesk Discussion group.

Based on the error code, it appears to be license information file problem. Let's try to re-initialized license information and un-installing Maya:

To uninstall Maya on Mac OS X

1. Navigate to the Maya directory (by default, /Applications/Autodesk/Maya2014/).
2. Drag the Maya2014 application to the trash.

Re-initialized license information

1. Open a Terminal window and execute both of the following commands, where <productKey> is your product key:
adlmreg –u S <productKey> 2014.0.0.F
2. This ensures that product information is properly removed from the ProductInformation.pit file.
3. You should be prompted to re-activate product.

Let us know if that works. Thank you.

its not working

when i try to run the terminal command i receive the following error:

Invalid number of arguments.

-usage: ./adlmreg -i N 657D1 ***** 2011.0.0.F 000-00000000 /Library/Application Support/Autodesk/Adlm/PIT/MayaConfig.pit

       ./adlmreg -u N ***** 2011.0.0.F

after closer inspection it seems that the path /Library/Application Support/Autodesk/ doesn't exist and reinstalling doesn't create this folder.

Follow these steps exactly.  This will hopefully get you to request an activation.

If you are using Parallels, check out this post:

It's best to use Boot Camp for best performance.

Redownload Maya 2014 SP 1 here and re-instal it using your EDU serial number and product key.

Looks like something changed in 10.9 that is blocking the Maya licensing....

Please updae ASAP Autodesk

Interesting, though not a viable option at the moment.  Is there a fix coming soon?

Well that was fast.  Maya 2014 SP3 works like a charm.  Thanks Autodesk!

I'm having this issue on my Macbook Pro with Maya 2014 Student edition and can't seem to fix this. Everytime I click activate in the Licensing Window it  displays an error message reading:

A license error has occurced. Contact your technical support representative for assistance

To  help determine the nature of the problem, the error code is : 110

Any ideas?

I installed SP3 on Mavericks following excatly those guidelines.
Now when I want to open maya for the first time, the icon  keeps jumping in my dock, and never actually opens.
Any idea?

Thanks!

Hey,

I had the same problem but I realized that I forgot to remove these Files. Very important ist Nr. 2.

1.  Delete the main Application [Drag the folder into the trash!].  Maya includes Matchmover and Composite.  These applications are in:

/Applications/Autodesk

2.  Delete Backburner by removing these folders:

/usr/discreet/backburner

/usr/discreet/lib32/backburner

Video:   Open-delete-hidden-folders

/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.autodesk.*

3. Delete & Backup licensing files/folders

Standalone

/Library/Application Support/Autodesk/Adlm

/Library/Preferences/FLEXnet Publisher/FLEXnet/adskflex_00691b00_tsf.data

/Library/Preferences/FLEXnet Publisher/FLEXnet/adskflex_00691b00_tsf.data_backup.001

The Library folders in Mac OS 10.7 and higher is completely hidden so you can use the Go > Go to folder to access it.

After that I was able to start the programm

Yes.  Everything is working for you.  I also blogged it here:

I am having the same problem.

I had 2013 installed and working, but it and Mudbox 2013 completely stopped working (and I tried to re-install them, but I am not even getting them to open to activate them).

So I decided to upgrade to Maya & Mudbox 2014... And I am getting the 110 Error.

And I have an assignment due soon.

Using the instructions given in your link, I find that there are some files that are not in my installation that are listed as needing to be either deleted or altered in order to fix this.

My Autodesk Adlm folder doesn't have the other folders/files in it that it is supposed to have. It just has three folders that don't look at all like those shown. It has:

ASR
FLEXNet
PIT

Rename the folder above "ADLM".  We are basically trying to re-install it clean.   For Mavericks support, you will need to use a 2014 product.  A complete list of updates are noted here:
