Turn Trial version into a student version

I have tried to get the student version, instead it seems I have a trial version.

I have requested serial # and Product key code for a student version, and they have issued them to me.

How can I turn my trial version into a student version without loosing the program installed?

There shouldn't be any difference, it is all based on the license.
