Dears,
I am having a strange problem in running Maya.
License was installed correctly
Deployment was created also but when we run Maya from the clients it refuses to obtain a license and the error is below:
---------------------------
---------------------------
License was not obtained
Tried Maya 2012 (657D1 2012.0.0.F), error 20
License method:
environment variable MAYA_LICENSE_METHOD='network'
Product choice:
environment variable MAYA_LICENSE='unlimited'
License file override:
environment variable MAYA_ALT_EN is not set
---------------------------
Look for the C:\flexlm\maya.lic file. Edit the file using Notepad and edit the license file as necessary. Typically, it will look like:
SERVER servername 0
USE_SERVER
Alternate file can be:
SERVER ip-address-of-server 0
USE_SERVER
I have the exact same problem and I get the exact same message. I have tried to uninstall and reinstalled, but failed. I have even tried to install Maya 2011, but I still get the same error.
Interesting note: I have the same product key as you for Maya 2012, 657D1. I think MAYBE Autodesk is sending out corrupt product trials for students and that's why these installs aren't working.
P.S. I tried to install AutoCad for Mac and I got the same error, it won't boot up. My product key is 777D1. Would you by any chance be having the same problem?

Maya used to work fine, but this problem suddenly began happening. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
