Transferring Network Licence to new server

Our company installed a network licence for AutoCAD 2009 on our company server back in 2009. From memory, I believe this was purchased as an upgrade to an earlier versions of AutoCAD. Since then, the company has changed ownership and operates under a different name from the one that was used to licence AutoCAD 2009.

The problem we face is that we have just retired the old company server on which the AutoCAD 2009 licence was installed and need to migrate the licence to a new server. We will also need to transfer ownership of the licence to the new company.

We have LMTOOLS running on the new server, but we don't have access to the previous company's login (or licence details) to get the network licence activated.

What is required to:

1.  Transfer the licence from the previous company, and
2. Activate the licence on the new server.

Thank you for the details you provided.

We completed the transfer of licence application, submitted it to Autodesk and it was approved. Unfortunately, it was approved under the conditions that we perform a licence upgrade and subscription of the latest AutoCAD release through a local reseller. We believe this is unacceptable, since we already own a licence for AutoCAD 2009. All we wish to do is transfer that existing licence from an old server to a new server.

Can you assist with providing me with contact details with someone to discuss this matter?

The local reseller isn't willing to assist (except for offering to sell us the upgrade).
