Transfer Autocad 2004 to a New Server

We have AutoCAD 2004 server with three licenses on an old NT 4.0 server. Is there a written procedure regarding how to uninstall and reinstall it onto a new server running Windows 2003 Server?
Thanks

You should just be able to install your FlexLM License Manager on your new Win2k3 Server. Get a new AutoCAD license .lic file from Autodesk or your Reseller. Then change the licpath.lic files in your AutoCAD folder to reflect the new server name and ethernet address.

Retire your NT4 Server.

Thank you. I done what you suggested. Now, how do I tell the workstations to obtain a lincense from the new server? I hope I do not have to reinstall AutoCad at each workstation.

No problem. I should have put it clearly on a separate line.

You shouldn't have to reinstall at all. Just find that LICPATH.LIC file and replace the information with the new server name and MAC address. Should be the same as your .LIC file on your server and in your FlexLM System Settings tab.

Good luck!

I have a VBScript running when a user log in and set it like this:
On Error Resume Next
Set WshShell = Wscript.CreateObject("Wscript.Shell")
Set WshSysEnv = WshShell.Environment("SYSTEM")
WshSysEnv.item("ADSKFLEX_LICENSE_FILE") = "@SERVER1;@SERVER2;@SERVER3"
