transfer a license

I was given an AutoCAD 2000 program by a company that has shut down their manufacturing and engineering department. I have the original CD, the Serial No., CD Key and Auth Code. My question is, can I use it as is or do need to get the license transferred. If so how do I go about transferring it?

Contact your nearest reseller (or the original reseller used by the
shut-down company). Autodesk has to approve license transfers.

Of course, technically you could install it and use it forever without
notifying anyone - but that is up to you to decide. Read the EULA.
