timeout function?

Where in the FlexLM do I setup the timeout function so when program is inactive for a specified amount of time it returns the license?

TIA

Collin

Timeout only works in this scenario for 2004
products not 2002. You will need to set up an options file and use the timeout
statement:

e.g,

style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt; COLOR: blue; FONT-FAMILY: 'Courier New'">

style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt; COLOR: blue; FONT-FAMILY: 'Courier New'">TIMEOUT
42600ACD_2004_0F 900

style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt; COLOR: blue; FONT-FAMILY: 'Courier New'">

style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt; COLOR: blue; FONT-FAMILY: 'Courier New'">
face=Arial>The minimum period you can set is
900 seconds.

style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt; COLOR: blue; FONT-FAMILY: 'Courier New'">
face=Arial>
color=#000000>

style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt; COLOR: blue; FONT-FAMILY: 'Courier New'">
face=Arial>Please see the following solution
for the naming of an options file:

style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt; COLOR: blue; FONT-FAMILY: 'Courier New'">
face=Arial>
color=#000000>

style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt; COLOR: blue; FONT-FAMILY: 'Courier New'">
face=Arial>

I am currently using MDT 2004. How do I setup the options for this in 2004?

TIA

Use the correct feature code in the options file
against the TIMEOUT statement. As MDT 2004 uses the Inventor Series 7
feature code this will be 43500INVBUN_7_0F. Please
note however that the TIMEOUT functionality will only apply to MDT and not
Inventor itself.

I'm not exactly sure where I am supposed to be looking to add the code.

Collin,

Check out
href="http://support.autodesk.com/getDoc.asp?id=TS67304">http://support.autodesk.com/getDoc.asp?id=...
 which
is searchable on the Autodesk product Support knowledgebase using a single
keyword of "timeout"
