Synchronizing directories between servers...

Am looking for a procedure - software, to synchronize data in project
directories between servers.
Scenario is we have people working on the same project in different cities.
Wish to update project data created on one server updated to another across
the WAN and vice-versa on a nightly basis, Would like this to be automated
and rule-based where you could assign even specific directories and files to
be the "master" and if changed be copied to other servers.

Anybody have any experience w/ anything like this? Any shared thoughts on
the best way to accomplish this would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

I haven't tried any of these so can't recommend anything, but it's a
starting point
http://www.datamirror.com/
http://www.repliweb.com/

There is also a directory replication service in NT/2k server but I've not
had much luck with it (yet). We are currently working on our 2k AD
implementation and the directory replication for the netlogon folders has
worked flawlessly so far. You might take a look at replication options
available with 2k server.
