Our university is changing from Novell based authentication to Samba, a Windows domain-like open source system. My classroom labs had previously had one default Windows "user" profile shared by all users. Now, every user who logs in will create a new profile, and in experimenting with this system, AutoCAD civil 3D takes almost 5 minutes to start the first time for each new user, and each user profile gets filled with files in the User/Appdata/Local/ folders and elsewhere. Are there guidelines anywhere for how to setup Autodesk products for Windows domains in a lab environment?
