Students Software Installation

Hi,

Since I downloaded Windows 8.1 on my laptop, Autodesk Maya and 3Ds Max installation doesn't work...Either it says: Communication Falliure or install it, and after task 4, it says: Installation complete. And none is check out, it's all red X.

Just like this

I tried it with Maya 2015,2014,2013 , and with 3Ds Max 2015,2014,2013...

Before my update, I was able to install 3Ds Max 2014, but I don't have it anymore.

Post your installation log file.  But I am guessing it is a download error that can be resolved using the Virtual Assistant.

Yep, it is a failed download as I suspected.  I would recommend that you try downloading your product using the virtual assistant by following the directions here:

Now it worked for Maya but not for Mental Ray renderer for Autodesk Maya
2015 and for Autodesk DirectConnect 2015. If I don't plan to do any renders
on this computer, will I be able to work with Maya on it and save correctly
my scenes?

Probably. No need to install portions of the suite that you don't plan on
using.

I tried installing Maya with the Virtual Agent. It worked but when I enter
my student product key it doesn't approve it..

For 2015, the product key lettering is G, not F.  Try a G instead.

Also, do not copy/paste it in.  It works better if manually typed.
