Hi everyone,
I have a 3 year student licence and i was wondering if could use it on my office computer.
I don't have a laptop or a desktop computer at home. I'll be using 3dsmax for improving and, one day, start using it.
I've read on the licence agreement that i can't use the student licence on "corporate computers" but I've been told that i can ask for it at autodesk.
how do i find it?
Thank you very much!!

Hi @eaglesteve and welcome to the Autodesk Community!
This is something our Education Community team can clarify for you (although, as you mentioned in your post, educational licenses are not meant to be used in company computers).
You can contact the Education Community team on this link.
I hope this helps!
- Make sure your boss is OK with it, understands the limitations of the EDU versions, and *both* of you understand when and on what you should be using it with
- anything done with an EDU product cannot be used for your work, so you will have to exercise good control to prevent them getting mixed up (aka "Crossing the streams is BAD")
- don't get caught up in the trap of "Oh, it's only for one movie/image/project" pushed by other employees or the boss. No commercial work means NO commercial work. Full stop.
Hi,
My boss is ok with that so that, maybe, in the future, we'll use my "knowledge" to improve the company itself.
However we still need that paper from Autodesk which allows me to install the Eucational version on the company's computer.
I'll go and ask in the EDU section.
Thanks!
i wouldn't recommend it
what happens if you get audited by Autodesk?
then your company would be in trouble

Good question.
Maybe it's time to buy a laptop
In case of an autidion maybe the fee qould be higher than a normal PC.
Thanks again guys!
You can always bring a laptop with you to the office. Or, get a desktop for home and have a look into remote access so you can use it from the office.
