I am a new contractor for a company that uses AutoCAD LT 2010 and I am going to be working from home on a single rental license. I was wondering if the new AutoCAD 2013/2014 standard version (not LT) is compatible with the older AutoCAD LT 2010 version. We will be sharing dwg files and I am hoping they don't have to update thier software for the my single rental license. Please let me know what can be done or should be done. I have a 30 day trial for the AutoCAD 2013 standard and need to be able to save the edited files for posterity.
Thanks,
Dustin

Confirming that AutoCAD is backwards compatible, however you would need to downsave your drawings in a previous release format before or = to the version that is opening them. Please also note that some of the newer functionality may not carry over to the older format.
